  1. God awful idea for a movie, as weak as religious reasoning

  2. the atheist aka Mr. Grinch. It's an easy emotional appeal to the 'goodness of Christians'.

  8. Whatever happened to "Lberal Hollywood"?  I'd say they're looking to profit from the upcoming annual war on Christmas.

  9. Is this going to be a movie that will be in actual theaters, or will it be sold in just Christian video stores?

This looks like a one sided view to pander to the Christians that want to push Christianity on others during Christmas time.

  10. They just don't get it do they?

  11. Expect more intolerance against atheists as the years progress. The Christian horde is actually doing us a favor. We are the most hated minority group in the country with the greatest levy of discrimination set against us... greater than it is for Muslims and homosexuals (or last I looked).

This will eventually just spill over, leading atheists to unite and demand acknowledgment. As Christians make their intolerance more direct, by blatantly demonizing atheists as some kind of evil group hell bent on destroying communal happiness, legal issues will arise that ultimately should lead to a definitive law dictating civil rights and freedoms for nonbelievers.

This is America, after all, and the idea of freedom is changing every day.

  15. The atheist in me is cringing at the idiocy, but the film student in me is smiling imagining the money this crap tank of a film could rake in from the masses.

  16. PureFlix is a direct-to-christian-bookstore file distributor.  This will probably have about the same sort of distribution as that awful movie with Kirk Cameron as a firefighter.  I douht it will be in theatres.  I don't think this propaganda piece will reach anyone other than the ones who already buy into its message about them eeevil atheists.

  17. What do you expect from the Christian nutcase Daniel Baldwin?

  18. Rewind 50 years and replace the atheist with a black family moving into town and demanding to drink at the white fountain, sit anywhere on the bus, and have their kids attend the local white-only school.

  19. i CAN"T WAIT to see this movie!!!!! it's gonna be up there with Piranha 3D and Final Destination. A Laugh Riot! Even better, I'm really looking forward to the thousands of YouTube remixes this is going to suffer..

  20. Are you confusing him with his brother Stephen Baldwin or are they both excessively religious?

  25. This movie not only makes atheists look like evil bastards, but it portrays false ideas and facts and continues to segregate our countries religious beliefs instead of bringing us together as a nation regardless of our beliefs. A horrible idea.

Atrocious acting with a capital A.

By the way Christians shouldnt get their knickers in a twist, it was called Yuletide long before that religion was taken seriously.

Futhermore this movie is the gift from baby Jesus, it completely exposes their Christian propaganda. Jesus, solipsistic much?

  27. Actually the holliday is already capitalized all around the world, so I don't see what their problem is. Maybe they should've titled it: "Christmas With a Big, Fat JESUS"..?

  30. I will herby offer to donate $300 towards the production of a porno titled "Christmas with a Capital Cunt."

  31. I would be a bit careful here. This film reminds me of the anti-jewish propoganda films in the 1930's by the nazis.

Anywa y I'm an atheist and I'm quite happy to wish everybody a very early MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Just in the same way, I'll wish HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

  32. Interesting that the atheist is played by Daniel Baldwin... guess his brother Alec was busy. Anyway, with Daniel having great credits to his name like his recent appearance in Stripperland, I'm sure they'll have no trouble marketing this dreck to brainless Christians.

  33. Yes so it seems.....my mistake...

  34. It should begin with Mary telling Joseph she's pregnant, and when he asks her how it goes to a flash back of her screaming, "Oh God!"  While getting plowed by a large middle eastern man.  And the climax should be an Orgasmic Birth with baby Jesus fingering her on the way out followed by sensual breast feeding.

  35. Religion is a very profitable lie.

  36. Thanks to cheaper filming equipment, now making movies is cheap enough for every ideology to make its own propaganda.

  37. This makes me incredibly angry. Not only is it a cinamatographic strawman of an actual, if boring, event;  but it encourages the continuation of false feelings of victimization. They are the overwelming majority in this nation. Also even the trailer mentions that harped on trope that the founding fathers were Christian therefore this must be a Christian nation where towns band together to defend Christian ideals from those lone evil agressive atheists. The fact that few understand is that this country was founded by some Christians, and some non-christians, but it was not founded on to be Christian. And they still out number us and are far more volatile towards us than we are towards them. Hell, we didn't make a movie about converting them like this one did we?

This film dehumanizes us and demonizes us to polarize Christians and work them into a Jesus-ravng froth. I can't beliueve any film company would put the cash down to back this obvious propaganda. I still don't understand why the media and the bulk of the public despise us so much. We as group have caused no wars, no murders, no beatings, bombings, shootings, or anything violent. We just exist, and that makes them mad. For those who preach on pulpits of compassion and act to execute violence and spread hate, be forwarned: we are peaceful, but we here and listening and there are more of us than you think.

I am so picketing this if it gets to theatres. Which hopefully, it won't.

  38. Well like it or not (and I don't), it will work!!

An excellent reflection of what the 'thinking Christian' thinks!

I predict the movie will be a big success and rally the emotions of Xians in the US. I doubt it will go to theatres but will no doubt be shown in churches and religious TV around the US.

It will make Xians feel justified, make them think they are right and just feed their egos with pseudo proof that God cares about the US!

So what are free-thinkers going to do to assuage this emotional garbage?

Lets not respond like the Grinch, and justify their misplaced self righteousness! Instead. lets show Xians how reasonable we are, how we enjoy and celebrate Christmas just as much as they do - for different reasons though! How important tolerance is, how many different beliefs there are, the true history of Christmas, why religion has no place in the public arena except when all religions and non religions are treated equally.

I look forward to seeing some great conversations from this movie, and I encourage everyone to prepare both funny and factual responses.

Xians like there heros and are always looking for causes to unite behind - this will be one!!
