  1. Wow, welcome to 2007 ABC News! What's up next for you guys? A shocking expose on the Flying Spaghetti Monster? I just love how they take the whole thing so seriously. I thought that reporter was a hack when he hosted the Choprawoo conference with Sam Harris and Mike Shermer but this pretty much proves it. Do you know how little backgrond research someone has to do these days to actually use the Stalin /Hitler / Pol pot gambit? Like, less than none.

  2. this is the best Nightline could do on this piece?   interviewing ONE eccentric atheist?  no perspective from a religious "authority"?  ABC must be doing some major budget cuts, this was piss poor.

  3. Refreshingly sensible (not to mention clearly put) points of view!

  4. Why do they talk about debaptism as if it is an assault on religion?  The true assault is to force baptism on a helpless child.  The child does not have the knowledge nor the reasoning abilities to make such a decision at that young age, and may later come to despise the decision which was unjustly made for them.

  5. I wish more people talk about atheism for me when I was a child. This would save me a lot of time giving to these sick people and they´re sick gods.

  6. Can people please stop bringing up Pol Pot and Stalin? My god- do some f'in research you mongs. Atheists don't kill because they're atheists. Believers kill DIRECTLY because they are believers.

  7. It's just water man!  Every "helpless child" will be exposed to this harmless substance at some point or another and it can be undone as easily as a shower can.

  9. Yes, let's save the phrase "assault... on a helpless child" for something like circumcision.  As for baptism (the practice in question), it's still just water.
