  1. So him recovering from surgery was a miracle? I suppose the doctors needn't have actually bother turning up.

Again, this is anecdotal evidence, and means nothing. Fox news being all religious for no reason.

Sorry, but this whole thing just sounds like a family making shit up, writing a book, and making money.

  2. So a kid recovers from surgery and mentions heaven, grandpa, and St. John...
And rather than explaining to the child what a dream state is or what the subconcious is, they claim it proves heaven and write a book for money...

  3. Oh ya, and an ancient jew from the mideast had blue eyes...

  4. If this proves one thing, and one thing only, its that dumbass yanks will buy any old bag of shite feelgood story.

Yeah yeah....I knocked myself uncoscious last week, and ever since theres an invisible pink unicorn that lives in my butt and sings Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam every frickin morning. Honest! I met Ghandi as well! It must be true....Ive written a book.

    Its called:

America: Dumb As Shite and Proud Of It!

  5. Well, at least we know now that God is just a great big guy or at least has really big hands. Yeah, that's believable.

    ReplyDelete
  6. As an American, I can only agree with you.

  7. What a crock of bullshit.

FOX is a brainwashing channel. At least Scientologists don't pump mass media bullshit into people's homes. FOX is another such cult.

  10. WOW, incredible stupidity!

  11. Only the religious would believe a revaluation from a four year old.

  12. Just great.. A very well constructed advertisement for their book, aimed at lunatics...
And ofcourse they are not selling it because they want to become millionaires (which they now inevitably will become), but because they want to share with others what they now know to be true...

    Isnt this nice?

Really... I still cannot decide which are more dangerous to this world and humanity. This fanatic american Fox news evangelicals with a lot of power, or those far gone extreme muslims Al quada style which really do not have this much power... I guess I must take all the human rights violations (especially against women) in the whole muslim world, only than maybe those muslims are more dangerous, but I am still not sure. Atleast they have a reasonable excusse - Many of them still live in the 16th century, while those ~50M US evangelicals....

  13. And a child will lead them.. and that's not a good thing.

  14. Let me get this straight. Adults listen to what a 4year old thinks he saw when he was seriously ill and close to death, and use that as proof that heaven exists?

Absolutely hilarious. Oh no, this isn't a joke. This is real. Shit. That's scary.

  15. Watching this again, it's like the kid has a gun pointed into his back.

This is so obviously fake. At least, the kid is obviously lying. 'A smile that lit up the heavens', spoken as if rehearsed.

    ReplyDelete
  16. That little kid was so full of pre-rehearsed lines it was painful to watch. Jesus: "his smile lit up the heaven" Nobody talks like that!!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hospitalised child hallucinates. News at eleven.

    ReplyDelete
  18. The kid was able to see what the adults were doing in other rooms? I want an explination or more information about that one.

And the kid sounds sexually attracted to Jesus. "Rough but kind face, sea blue eyes, and a smile that lit up the heavens..."

How poetic. Uch. Why do I think he memorized that line to say whenever someone asks him to describe Jesus? No one talks like that in real life, certainly not a little boy.

He had surgery at 4, how old is he now?

    ReplyDelete
  19. I see there's a new version of raping your kids for money a la beauty pageants.

    ReplyDelete
  20. You want more information? As if it might possibly be true that the son was able to see things while being totally unconscious??? lol!

    1) Everyone who is even moderately religious prays when their child is in grave danger and they have absolutely no power whatsoever to help. Anyone could predict that. Same with the mother being on the phone. She wants to talk it out, and familiar members are similarly distressed and it's the only way they can help--by offering support and comfort.

    2) The father said "It took a long time but he started sharing stories...." The childs testimony means nothing unless you can garauntee that he never heard anyone recall what happened while he was unconscious. The fact that it took a "long time" makes that extremely unlikely. Thus, he may have not even had to guess that his father prayed. The father, or mother, or a relative could have mentioned it in passing without realizing it, in the intervening "long time". Even if they didn't directly say that the father prayed in another room, they sure as hell implied it with their belief that their son's survival was due to God's intervention. Afterall, how and why exactly would God intervene unless he was called upon by prayer of the parents?

I could go on an on about out of body experiences and the psycological motivations to deceive themselves with these stories that both the child and parents probably have, but I expect the above two points will be sufficient. This story is just like the thousands of other conclusively false stories about miracles. It is therefore unremarkable and boring to me.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think it's really sad your not all eating this up for breakfast. Look at that child's face - if that's not a miracle of the Lord then I don't know what planet you all live on. Because it's not planet FOX.

  22. Wow, bravo. You single-handedly managed to bring the conversation down to the youtube comment "aren't Yanks all idiots" level in less than 5 posts flat. A wonderful accomplishment to which you are no doubt deeply proud. Douche.

Phillis, Please read that Bible - all of it once you've blown all those years of dust off the cover. Then, if you're still Xian, read some Roman history on the pagan history of Xianity, esp. Emperor Constantine bios - the REAL father of Xianity - 325 CE.

  25. Blake, the resident Master of Youtube Logic. Are you miffed because somebody actually improved on your fave tactic and used it to say something worth thinking about?

    ReplyDelete
  26. uh Jesus was from Middle East, so having blue eyes doesn't really fit the Middle Eastern category; and a smile that lit the heavens? LOL you're seriously going to buy that?! Why not give an extreme detail of Jesus and God than something you were told to say.

  29. well there you have it! That should convert all those athiest hethans that watch Fox News all the time while this story in no way is meant to reinforce christian belief.

srsly though, this is about as creditable as UFOs

  36. Fox News has sunk to an all-time low with this one. That anchorwoman has humuliated herself on the world stage.

So lets look at other things children believe with all their heart, and according to Fox, we should believe: Santa Clause, the Tooth Fairy, mermaids, magic and elves.

  37. I can't actually stop watching this - it's one of the most fucked up clips i've ever seen. I love how she says 'he recovers, it's a miracle' in one swift breath. What about the doctors and nurses who actually did the work you dumbass??!!??!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I am SO glad that this sort of bullshit doesn't get passed for news in my country.  I actually couldn't believe it when the kid described god as being so big that he could 'fit the whole world in his hands' - obvious bullshit that he's taken literally from a metaphor in the famous hymn.  People have already pointed out how ridiculous it is to state that Jesus has blue eyes - clearly influenced by western movies and art that portrays the middle eastern jewish king of the desert as a white man.

In other news, your facebook login link is still broken.

  40. Yeah. Religious numnuts have long time ago figured out they have to sell their BS rapped in a sheet of mysticism and poetry, which is than up for many different interpretations... The whole bible is like that... Obviously the little kid cant really describe Jesus, so what we get is this description, this answer that is really not an answer, but is perfect for wishful thinking idiots..

But the main thing here is, the little kid is not the main player here. His parents are.. Perhaps he started the whole thing by saying he dreamt simething, then the whole scam was constructed by his familiy, then someone with ties to FOX news and with marketing skills and now everybody gets what they want... Jesus freaks get their Jesus proof in a book, the family gets millions of $$$, and FOX gets what they are after, political power and deluded folowers.

  43. Don't use blanket statements to categorize all Americans as Xian zombies. I resent that. Some of us actually use our brains, logic and rational thought. I'm not happy about the current state of lunacy here in the U.S. but I don't subscribe to this BS either.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Indoctrinated child keeps his parents happy!

    ReplyDelete
  45. This is despicable. These parents have no conscience. How could they put their son up to this?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Dear Fox "News",
I have a bridge to sell you.

    ReplyDelete
  47. As an American I HAVE to point out that at it's the bottom ~25% of idiots here that make us look this insane and horrible. About 50% of the population is decent, semi-rational, intellectually fairly lazy and confused religiously and just trying to 'get by' in a hyper-paced, hyper-connected world. About 25% of us really try to be consistenly rational, keep learning all the time, improving, and stay concerned with the state of the nation and the planet.

England has their fair share of idiots from top to bottom as well. They're letting the country be ruined by being too liberal and allowing Islam to slowly take over. While America is being ruined by the conservative Christians who have gained too much power.

Note- you can also be a radical 'moderate' and feel compromise is always the best course of action -which can be ruinous when facists on either side are given any ground.

    ReplyDelete
  48. But Scientologists would LOVE to do that, so I wouldn't give them any credit at all for simply not getting there...yet.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm pretty sure a 'revaluation' is an economic term not religious? yeesh

    ReplyDelete
  50. <span>"Rough but kind face, sea blue eyes, and a smile that lit up the heavens..."</span>

Yeah, because that's how I describe people I've met too... Anyway, it must be true right? He wouldn't lie, he has no motivation to, other than getting nationwide coverage on TV. The good little Christian that he is... and its not as if anaesthetics are known to cause hallucinations... oh hang on a sec.... hahahah

What a joke, who believes this shit? *shakes head*

  52. BALLOON BOY -THAT"S IT! I knew this was familiar. Watch the clip again and see how the father leans towards the child, and if the child hesitates, he answers for him. Science has identified the part of the brain which causes these near-death phenomena. I don't mind religious loonies turning their backs on science - thats's their M.O. but this is psychological abuse of a child. The kid will know when he grows older.
Just a word about Americans. I LOVE THEM. This is tea party stuff and we have plenty of religious nutters here in Britain too. Hey, wait - they are now in government!
This clip is like someone holding a gun to the head of someone who is talking on the phone, telling lies they are being forced to tell. I think it will make them a lot of money, but it may convert some believers to humanism.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Well, they did sell their conscience, but for millions of dollars probably... So think again.. Put in this situation, even many of us would agree to do the same thing.. To think about it, scaming those brainwashed ignoramuses kinda seems atractive in a way...

  61. Really big hands. I like that.

But if he is so big, how does he fit in heaven?

  62. I don't know what everyone here has gone through in their lives to not believe in Jesus...but I will tell you....not matters how much you don't believe....he believes in you. He still loves you. He was dragged, beaten, spit on, and crucified just so you can live and your sins can be forgiven. Receive this or not....regardless....He still thinks of you and loves you. and for those of you who hate me for saying this to you....I still love you.
