Antisemitism Still Thrives

  1. Really sad, actually, that crazy people and their odious, foul, gutter religion of death and terror teach this bile.  What a great and tolerant religion Islam is...

And, of course, we Americans are so hamstrung by political correctness that we cannot look this bald faced evil in the eye and call it so.

  5. that is what arabs and muslims do always- they blame their misfortunes on jews and americans instead of solving their problems productively

  7. Islam a religion of peace???  Its quite clear that its book can easily be read as a command to war and hatred.  The sort of muslims who proclaim these things show a delight in hatred that is beyond anything I have seen in my lifetime.  What is it with this religion in particular?  There must be something in the 'teachings' of the Koran that lead people to this.

  8. It's not in the 'teachings' of the Koran. But in the Koran itself. Look it up.

  9. This would be akin to me picking out all the crazy shit said by all sorts of Western media and holding it up as representative.  Hey everyone!  Let's allow ourselves to be emotionally manipulated into hating a group (your irony meter should have broken just now)!  It's the in thing!  I mean let's face it, it would be totally impossible to use this kind of tactic to put together a montage of clips making Christians, Jews, atheists, Buddhists or any other group look evil since this is clearly the epitome of well thought out journalism based on comprehensive analysis and data and definitely not an emotional ploy at all, right?

Oh and if thinking about these things more deeply than "Hey!  Some Muslims are saying some crazy shit, obviously Islam and Muslims are all crazy" instead of reacting with a knee-jerk emotional outburst is political correctness then I am more than happy to be politically correct.

  10. Sickening. Islam is an anti-Semitic religion, but worst of all, anti-Semitism seems to be spreading in the Muslim world even beyond what can be derived from the Quran.

  11. Boy, if there was ever a case for anti-theism this is it.  Shocking!

  12. As an Arab who has lived in a muslim country in the middle east for the past 20 years, i can tell you that while this montage was especially aggressive and graphic, the fundamental ideologies of the spokespeople do not differ much from the average person. It is commonly accepted fact among the uneducated lower and middle class in these countries, and sadly sometimes even educated people, that jews are evil and that they should die. not to mention gays and atheists.
Anyone who claims that islam is a religion of peace, has either been away from the middle east for too long, and is speaking based on fond childhood memories, or is in a serious state of denial about their religion.

  13. I understand that and sure it may be more prevelant there or alternatively people are more willing to say these things but there are instances of that kind of insanity even in America.  I'm sure the Jewish media has never put anything out that was discriminatory against Arab people either.  I'm not saying that the Middle East is this great place that is all about pluralism and diversity, far from it... I only take issue with using hyperbole and emotional ploys to tar everyone with the same brush.

Islam isn't the religion of peace, it isn't really anything but an idea.  How it is used and to what end is entirely dependent on the person interpreting it.  Sure it has horrible passages but so does the bible.  There are Muslims who do not adhere to a strict or extreme view of their religion.  There is already enough distrust within the West directed at Muslims, this kind of ploy only makes it worse.  Perhaps whoever made this video could have spent their time actually researching the underlying reasons for these attitudes and proposed potential solutions... but that would take intellectual integrity and honesty which is clearly way more difficult.

  15. Not Surprised:

Dude, there is a difference between saying something that's "discriminatory against arab people" and the insane rantings against jews that was on display in this video.

I say discriminatory shit about women all the time. I say they're generally more controlled by their emotions than men are. That, however, is different from saying that all women are thieving, evil whores who deserve to be raped and buried alive.

Do you see the difference? Do you? You'd be hard pressed to find a european tv-network stating anything slightly discriminating or derogatory about muslims without being absolutely KILLED for it by hundreds and thousands of people the next day.

Do you really think there is no place for putting out videos like this? Should everyone be dismissed just because they're not "researching the underlying reasons for these attitudes"? The video shows that the attitudes are there, and that's important information.

We have enough people like you and Scott Atran telling us that poverty, oppression and soccer is to blame for the atrocious attitudes on display so many places in the arab world.

What about Turkey? About 20% of The population of Turkey think it's ok to "kill civilians in defence of islam". That's pretty much the lowest number out of the nine countries polled by PEW.
