  1. Fucking cocksucker..

No, lol, I am only kidding. I couldnt resist ;)

This guy is a genius and I ofcoure admire him...
This is the reason why I always say gays on average tend to be better people than others, they certainly make better politicians.
See, when a person experiences the things this guy has experienced, this changes him. He now apreciates everything more, he is more tolerant, he is more humble and modest, he has more respect towards others... He will even be a better dad than an average parent, dare I say.... All this exactly because he is gay and he experienced those things which made him grow as a human being...

And this goes especially for US.. I wish the whole US government personnel were gays ;)

Heart-tugging. Thank you Joel Burns. I hope this video will save countless of LGBT´s out there.

I also contemplated suicide as a LGBT teen or even pre-teen. Many will identify with his story. It´s unfortunately far too common a story.

  4. @rockers
I think in Texas the only thing more sacred than a gun is a bible.

  5. God, why the fuck do we still do this to people? There's gay people, why the fuck should that matter to anyone?
Beyond that issue, Burns might be the first sincere politician I've ever seen.

  6. It't not just gays either. Middle and High school (particularly middle) school was really tough (I'm straight, if that matters). We bullied each other for no fucking reason at all. Why? I can't help but think that the bullying never went away; we still do it in real life, we're just more secret and quiet about it.

  7. The bullying will continue as long as we have Christians.

  8. I think bullying will continue with or without christians. It will probably exist in one way or another as long as we have humans.as we know them today.

  9. I feel that I must clarify my strident replies. Just as you object to having others force their beliefs onto you I object to your trying to force your dogma onto me through your innuendo.

  10. So you like guns but (I assume) not bibles.  I like bibles (I have a couple, along with a koran and a gita) but not guns.  I fail to see how that makes either of us an asshole.  Well, I guess I have one of those too.  Don't you?

"<span>The bullying will continue as long as we have Christians.</span>"
Um, yeah, and the gun deaths...  Hey, just sayin' :)

  12. In the imaginary universe where anyone tried to force their dogma on you your comment would have made sense.  But this is not that world.  This is the world in which you are trying to force your opinions on others by insisting only an asshole would say something you disagree with.

  13. This is a great message.  All too often adults tell their teenage children that High School is the "best time of your life" - What a horrible, horrible thing to say.  It's a powerful way to demotivate your child.  First off, High School is the worst social environment you will ever experience in your lifetime because unlike later in life, in High School you don't get to pick and choose the people you will spend your time with.  You are randomly thrown together with people you would never want to hang out with - ever - and simply cutting off contact with those who are socially malicious isn't an option until later when you're an adult.  Secondly, even if High school actually *was* the best time of your life, what that would mean would be "your life will be worse when you're an adult.  You have a whole lifetime of worse experiences from now on."  That's not exactly an uplifting thing to say to your child.

Not just for bullied gay teens, but for all teens, "it gets better.  Bullying dies down after High school" is a hopeful message.

  14. Just amazing. The fact that this came straight out of the Bible Belt (the heart of homophobic politics) shouts volumes about how some things can indeed get better.

This guy should be president instead of that status quo idiot we have right now.
