It makes a little more sense (okay, not really) when you pair it with Deuteronomy 23:1 - "A man whose testicles have been crushed or whose penis has been cut off must not be admitted into the congregation of yahweh"
I'm amazed at these very specific laws. Really, just how common were these occurances to require such a black and white rule for punishment?
A long time ago, in a place far far away from anywhere civilized, came the word of gawd. Found in various forms in various places, in a dead language that very few understand, the book has become the source of much hated, bigotry and ignorance. Funny thing though, it's all been "interprested" by a collection of brain dead, sky fairy worshipers who can actually speak to GAWD! No one else can hear him/she/it, but hey, they are from the church so they have to be believed. It's a steaming pile of odorous nonsense that anyone with at least two working brain cells can recognise as such, in essence, why worry. It's like worshipping a phantom comic, only dangerous.
I'm not trying to be an ass, but I really don't like the condescending tone AT has been using in their videos lately. It seems to me that their earlier videos were really clever, heavy in satire, and powerful on their own merit. Now it seems like they're throwing mud just as hard as the Christians do (haha, those atheists think that a baig bang made life!). I mean, I never knew about this or that other bible story, so it's still educational, but I really wish they could be more respectful. They is something in that way that Dawkins or Hitchens flings mud that seems so much more graceful.

I don't know... this one just wasn't as good as they usually are from the T.A.
