  1. Yay!

Wonder if the LDS can get a refund?

  2. Yay indeed!

Time to celebrate, before we have to start worrying about how the 9th court will rule.

  3. I'm not worried about the 9th circuit.  It will rule the same.  It's the SCOTUS where the real fight will be.  Based on the lackluster defense put up, I suspect the defendants didn't really expect to win either.  It's one thing to buy a bunch of lying TV ads and squeeze out a 52% general population win.  It's quite another to win over judges who are looking at facts and the rule of law.

Getting a refund on their already tax exempt money? I´d bet they would be cheeky enough to try.

A step in the right direction. Crossing my fingers for my LGBT peeps in California.

  6. If the defense of prop 8 continues to be as inept as in this trial, the LGBT community can look foreward to marrying their loved ones in the forseeable future.

I don't forsee a sudden competent prop 8 supporter with a good argument against gay marriage.

At the risk of sounding arrogantly confident the LGBT side will win: congratulations, and I hope you will be happy with your life partners.

  7. Atheism has nothing to do with homosexuality.  Just change the name to gayliberalatheistmedia.com. That way you will be more honest.

  8. No, but it's religion that stands in the way of the freedoms and liberties of homosexuals.

I see it as a victory for individual rights.

  10. Atheism doesn't have a doctronine but if it has one then it should be pro-liberty.
