  1. Total disagreement with Hitch on Iraq and John Kerry. It wouldn't gone to hell in Iraq with Kerry since just like when the dems were given the mandate to leave Iraq in 2006 nothing happened. Both parties are heavily infected by the MIC virus and neither party would have wanted to "lose" Iraq. It's an occupation and neither party wants to leave.
And Bush turned USA pretty much into rubble:

"America has a strong economy and a surplus.... Now is the time to reform the tax code and share some of the surplus with the people who pay the bills."
--George W. Bush, nomination acceptance speech, 3 August 2000

While Bush was president, median income declined, poverty increased, childhood poverty increased even more dramatically, and there was an upsurge in Americans without health insurance."

I am not so optimistic as Hitchens is with regards to religion.
