  1. At least he's smart enough to recognize evolution.

  3. What a desperate attempt to make sense of the bible.. And more desperate yet to sell this litle book that didn't even seem to convince the author himself! That's his conclusion! I don't know how much support this "theory" will have while recognizing the earth older than 10,000 years.. My brain hurts. >:o

  4. Ah, so his god made "men" before he made "Man", he just didn't bother to tell anyone. And then they all got it on... It makes sense now!

  5. 1:57 was all I could handle. Kudo's to those who make it through.

  6. "Do we really need to combine these two?" In other words do we really need science to throw cold water on our fantasy

  7. Wow you guys really nead to chill a bit. This guy is quite refreshing compaired to the ID perponents that are so often paraded as representing religion. I would love to shift the religous goal post in his direction. This would dissolve the contradiction most evangelicals see with science and keep them away from the education standards of our children.

Honestly if religion switched to this more Deistic, vage character i would no longer be an Antitheist.

  8. As Adam and Eve are fictional characters it is indeed true that their children did not commit incest as it follows that they also did not actually exist.

ie. there is no discussion to be had.

  9. wow, this theory has nothing to do with science or the genesis story.

  10. Please, why cant they get this in to their heads:
EVOLUTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW LIFE STARTED; IT JUST EXPLAINS HOW LIFE EVOLVED AFTER IT GOT STARTED, PLEASE LISTEN YOU STUPID IGNORANT IDIOTS, HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO TELL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apart from that i must sa I dislike this guy a little less than the ID-Idiots.

  11. Religious BS is religious BS, benign or not. What is wrong with pointing that out?

  12. hahahahahahahahaha
I only made it to 1:32

Does he not understand he makes a mockery of the story of creation?  So I can't figure out if he supports the Bible or not.  But I really don't have the fortitude at this point to even watch anymore.  I think I'm going to be sick.

I have my deep suspicions that you are trying to tell us Tomas, that we all came from monkey - are you?
It's been refuted recently by some greatest scientists.

  15. Common ancestor, common ancestor!!! Do we need to tattoo this on your foreheads?

  16. No!! That was not what I was saying at all(but I do belive in Evolution & natural selection, but thats another discussion).
What I was trying to say was that the theory of evolution tries to explain the development of life, not the start of it, it doesnt matter if you think its true or not, it still says the same thing, allthough in this clip & allmost every disscussion religious people connect it with the explenation of how life started(& now I had to repeat it again).
All I sad was stop doing that since its not what evolution is about.
So this particular thing I was trying to say does not has to do with what any scientist exept one says or ever said, its only about what Charles Darwin said & did not say, nothing else.

But if you want to talk about apes & monkeys I tell you what my views are.
I just dont think human genes came fron an apelike ancestor(allthough I know, I as an individual not personally came from 2 apelike homonids, I come only from my parents that were allready fully evolved homo sapiens, but I do carry copys of genes from those apelike ancestors), I think we still are a species of apes that just happens to be a little more intelligent & less hairy than the other species(& thats the other discussion that has nothing to do what I was saying earlier, please get it this time).

OK, he's really just making this up as he goes along, right?
This guy is more screwed up than Hovind!

  18. I think that it is a mistake to counter deism with the frankly quite childish vitriol that we can find above. Nothing is served by it, and it makes us atheist look as fervent , fanatical and unbending as the forces that we oppose.

Personally, I found this interview fascinating as he clearly threw a wrench in the seemingly underprepared interviewer's world view. True, his reasoning is still convoluted, but at least it's not the same old fundy stuff.

  20. I only got about 1:30 in but I'm guessing that what this guy is doing is missconstruing Mitochondrial Eve, who to our knowledge was a genuine person with the willfull, knowledge seeking, lustful renegade whore of biblical myth that caused all of the terrible problems with this awesome, vast, beautiful cosmos.

Bit of a waste of time really

    B

Funny though, wasn't it Dawkins that coined the term "Mitochondrial Eve"?
