  1. Didn't some dork just get drunk on scotch and get egged on by his "mates" to make a show of himself.  This is not debate, just attention seeking.

All he needs now is to be paraded on FOX and voila you´ve got yourself an instant martyr.

I wish people had pointed their fingers and yelled witch witch WITCH when that moron screamed freedom of speech.

In any case it was probably a welcome interuption for the Hitch. Would give him an opportunity to ask for anothe refill.  Cheers.

  3. I have no idea what any of them are saying.  I can't make out a single word of it.  Shitty audio.

  4. Freedom of speech does not include grabbing someone elses microphone and disrupting their program.

  5. Funniest part of the video was the camera man repeatedly yelling FREEDOM OF SPEECH like a quacking duck.

  6. Just to clarify...he was calling Hitchens Satan, correct?

  7. Sounds like Hitchens made a great follow up comment, but the childish cameraman was more concerned about hijacking someone else's event in the name of freedom of speech over what comments would result from their hateful non-christian comments at the microphone.

Typical believer: Name calling, i.e. ad hominem.  Wow, they really made a point.  Almost as good as the classic, "What if you're wrong?"

Doesn't really get anyone anywhere, except these ardent believers get to puff up their chests and feel important.  This is common behavior of the faithful.

  12. Heckling Hitch, that takes a pretty big Balls:Brains ratio.  What I think is funny is comparing the two opposing bits of free speech.  One is offered from the balcony and the other is presented from the comfort of center stage, probably for a pretty good speaking fee, or at the least all expenses paid.

  13. What the "heckler" forgot is that Christopher Hitchens would (and as would I) consider this as a wonderful compliment, I bet he LOVED it because to bring out such fear from a listener proves again and again that religious people are swimming in fear, mainly of thought and words.
This is another triumph for Hitchens, waiting to hear the whole thing... great stuff AMB.

  14. The audio was very poor so I didn't bother to try to hear what Hitchens replied, but my guess is that he mentioned that he has worked for the devil pro-bono when he was asked to attend some event at the Vatican.

  15. I guess in this world of pedophile priest, explosive Imams and incesteous bible belters etc. .. bing called Satan is an honor since clearly their gods and their religions are on the evil side so satan as opossed to that must be good

  16. God you people are stupid. It's a joke. Hitchens is a complete sell-out to the Left. He switched sides and supported the slaughter of millions of people in Iraq and Afghanistan so he could pay for his Johnny Walker. The comment is not serious in the slightest.

  17. @Guest: re: "God you people are stupid".  Now isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?

If you're going to make accusations, it should be followed with references so we can check your 'facts'.  Or are you making accusations based on 'faith'?

  18. I doubt Hitchens needed either to support the war in Iraq nor did he have to write about religion to make a more than a decent living.

  19. Because we all know you have to be either left or right. How awful that someone has views that contradict the fuckin' pigeonholes. How about reading his arguments and finding the real reason for his approval of the war. Does your tiny brain explode every time things don't go according to social conventions?
