He's had people on lately that have warrented more than the regular guest time, that day it was the head of the census on so he didn't need half of the show and only have like 5 minutes. It was also a slow news day, so I think they were just waiting for a good day to do it.
Glenn Beck is the one of the most popular evangelicals out there. You only have to watch his show once to realize he is trying to hide his religious agenda with slippery slope politics and straw men.
There are some posts on this site that are only tenuously related to atheism, but this is not one of them. John points out how Glenn's claims to be given his morality (or whatever) from god combined with his constant demands to reduce governmental interference in people's lives is a slippery slope to a theocracy.
Glenn Beck is a former wacky morning radio host who saw money in conservative talk and stole his entire shtick (staring into the camera for uncomfortable lengths, blackboards filled with incoherent scribbles) from Gene Scott.
I think the funniest thing is that they set up Stephen Colbert to be the reductio-ad-absurdem of conservative TV screaming, and he got outdone with someone who's allegedly serious. Comedy Central's gonna have to run someone in a gorilla suit now :)
He mentioned it on his show on Friday. He said it was hilarious but it doesn't prove him wrong. People on the left just ridicule a different opinion but they can't respond.
el guapo - i'm a fiscal conservative and social liberal, and i agree that i hate when a majority of atheists act like being an out and out liberal has to go hand in hand with being an atheist, but i really don't feel like this site does that. i'd give it another shot if i was you
How does he "hide his religious agenda" he states full front that he is a religious person and that quite a bit of his stuff focuses around belief in God. But he doesn't just cater to religion. He panders to Atheists as well, he's asked Penn Jillette to put some of the things he teaches into an Atheistic perspective.
I really hope this is some kind of stupid plant. If you're actually Christian I'm pretty sure you're more likely to burn in hell then anyone else here.
I'm surprised it took him this long to do this parody. It was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteHe already did a parody a few months ago. The epic nature of this parody is that he devoted his entire show to it.

ReplyDelete:Bow:
ReplyDeleteWhat does this have to do with atheism? Looks like this site should change it's name to liberalmedia.com.
ReplyDeleteToo funny. GB is hard to take seriously (unless you want to). ;)
ReplyDeleteWish he would have taken it farther and died his hair and chapped his lips.

ReplyDeleteThe board explains how liberal conservatisem will lead to Theocracy...
ReplyDelete1/2 way through he mocks him about the "rights from God" BS, did you watch it?

ReplyDeleteDoes every post need to be explained? Nobody is forced to watch anything.
ReplyDeleteExactly.
ReplyDeleteThis is classic. Do you think Glenn Beck has seen it? Do you think the people who think he talks sense listened to it?
ReplyDeleteFor those who aren't in the US and Canada this is already on YouTube.
Interesting how MSNBC mentiioned it too. They seem to really hate MenInFrox news.
