I find it very hard to believe that you don't see a link between religion and homosexuality. Religions have historically been the most fierce oppressors of gay people. It's one of their crimes against humanity. This fact undermines the argument that morality requires religion, and demonstrates how religion can be harmful for society.
Maybe you don't understand all of this because deep down you think homosexual people (whom you conflate with the act of anal sex) are icky and gross, so you don't have any empathy for them. I know this type of attitude well. You need to get over your phobia of anal sex, and stop equating human beings with a sex act that they may or may not engage in.
