1. I would really like to see him talk some time, but I think 5 minutes in an audience with the type of cackling, pretentious sycophants these sorts of speakers tend to attract would make me go postal.

  2. Mother Theresa was highly overrated. She worked extensively to prohibit birth control to countries most in need of it. She's a fraud and a evil woman. Saint. Indeed.

  3. Read Aroup Chatterjes book "The final verdict". The first three chapters are online.

There is so much more Hitchens could have said about Theresa.

  5. They aren't all as bad as the crowd in this video.

  6. Oh, now I get it. Blake was engaging in the fallacy of extrapolating from one single example by assuming this was a typical audience "these sorts of speakers tend to attract".

  7. Blake you're a turd. I have no idea if that's particularly 100% true but feel it's something I must say since I do agree completely--no, completely. Sycophancy sucks--and this video as well as innumerous others and situations I have witnessed live and in person are full of it. It's nauseating. And disheartening.

  9. Um no actually I've seen plenty of of his talks on video and the sort of people in the audience that I'm referring to seem to pretty much be a universal annoyance.

  10. Those crowds are mostly for his talks in bookstores and other "booksigning"-events. Naturally almost everyone attending such an event is a fan. His debates otoh attract mixed crowds. Or you could invite a bunch of your superior friends and make sure the crowd is a scoffing kind, instead of the laughing one.

  11. Blake, one musn't confuse things here. The cackling you're referring to is simply menopausal ladies flushing red hot for the hitch.
