Italian Defence Minister Ignazio La Russa: "They Can Die, Crucifix Will Stay in Every Classroom"

As part of the show "La vita in diretta", RAI1, the Italian public tv, aired a discussion about the crucifix in state-run schools, which was attended by Christian Democrat politician Rocco Buttiglione, UAAR Secretary Raffaele Carcano, prof. Franco Coppoli, prof. Piergiorgio Odifreddi and Father Mario Pieracci. Right after this segment, Italian Minister of Defence Ignazio La Russa, referring to those who had just spoken against the presence of the Catholic symbol in public schools, yelled several times: "They can die, but the crucifix will stay in every classroom". Note that he almost used up all his air time, which was meant to commemorate the Victory Day (celebration of Italy's victory in World War I, November 4th).
