  1. That fucktard chick is the perfect example of how an adult can reduce a logical discussion to a 10-year old playground argument. Every word out of her mouth was an insult, propaganda or ignorant remark. I love how she got owned on Pascal's wager and pretended like it never happened and turned to insulting Kelly again.
I love how they can't grasp social eveolution of morals. Of course I'm not going to go around raping and killing people....I need someone to make gas for my car, cook my food at restaurants, make roads, continue scientific discoveries. Wow....we need to quit tip-toeing with them and demonstrate the harsh realities of what religion has done to society. Do we say guys like Jack the Ripper, Dahmer, etc. are actually good guys because they did good things as well as the bad, because this is what they do with their god and jeezy chreezy. God raped Mary to give birth to his son so that he could condemn the world and teach them to stone people, but hey.....he also said love thy neighbor so he was a great guy. Besides, he never existed as a real person anyway.

  2. Sounds like you guys are doing damage control for Brian Cutler (aka Brian Sapient). You guys know darn well Cutler got wasted.

  3. LOL, damage control. This is my opinion and in no way endores Brian. I wouldn't say talking loudly over someone and ignoring their rebuttals is, "wasting him".
Saying religion is good because it makes people do good things is a joke. Theists do good in hopes of pleasing their sky-daddy so that they can get into "heaven".....whatever that is, depending on who you worship.
Atheists are the most compssionate people on Earth, because we do good just to do good....not for any mystical reward.

  4. LOL I still don't get this, how was he wasted??!!
Damage control is what Christians have been trying to do since Galileo's time or even earlier. and in the process all they did was halt and slow down the advancement of science and humanity... all for a an imaginary supernatural ruthless dictator.

  5. ProTour,

    LOL, damage control.

    Yes.

This is my opinion and in no way endores Brian.

Oh, sure, it doesn't. It's just that you think he did well in this debate. Gotcha.

I wouldn't say talking loudly over someone and ignoring their rebuttals is, "wasting him".

I would say giving a false assessment of the debate would give you that narrow-minded opinion.

Saying religion is good because it makes people do good things is a joke.

And saying atheism is good because it makes people do good things is a joke.

Theists do good in hopes of pleasing their sky-daddy so that they can get into "heaven".....whatever that is, depending on who you worship.

Atheists do good in hopes of... well, actually there is no "good" in atheism. As evolutionist Dr. William Provine (who is often quoted by Richard Dawkins) said,

"Let me summarize my views on what modern evolutionary biology tells us loud and clear -- and these are basically Darwin's views. There are no gods, no purposes, and no goal-directed forces of any kind. There is no life after death. When I die, I am absolutely certain that I am going to be dead. That's the end of me. There is no ultimate foundation for ethics, no ultimate meaning in life, and no free will for humans, either."

    See?

Atheists are the most compssionate people on Earth, because we do good just to do good....not for any mystical reward.

You guys can't even give a justification for good. You just assume it without justification. Typical.

    Ed,

LOL I still don't get this, how was he wasted??!!

Ingraham made Cutler look like a fool, especially the part about how well religion does in society. Cutler had no rebuttal. To me, it's no wonder that Cutler doesn't promote his debate with Ingraham for all to listen to.

Damage control is what Christians have been trying to do since Galileo's time or even earlier.

Not really. Many Christians have admitted that they were wrong in the past. usually, when I tell how screwed up atheism is and the millions of lives it claimed, no-brain atheists say that the atrocities by Mao and Stalin were not in the name of atheism. Uh, sure it wasn't. Just more damage control for their blind and mindless and random sky-daddy they call natural selection.

and in the process all they did was halt and slow down the advancement of science and humanity... all for a an imaginary supernatural ruthless dictator.

That isn't true either. Most scientists throughout history were theists. Look it up.

    Hugs and kisses,

    Frank

  6. BWAHA...looks like someone is from Team Ingram; gonna take all the anti-theists down! lol. Wow, where to start. Again, I can provide no damage control for him because I have no value to him or his organization, nor do I represent him in any way; it is simply my opinion, based on facts that I heard. I'm very open-minded and could have been swayed to say she won, even though I am an anti-theist, but she presented herself like a desperate teenager in a losing argument with her parents.
You can't just repeat what I say to make an argument. I never said being an atheist makes people do good, but in her interview she said religion makes people do good (dismantle all the charities in the world run by theists....blah blah). I only pointed out that atheists have no "god" to please in hopes of an afterlife reward, so we only do good for the sake of it. Your delusion seems to point you in the direction that there must be a "god" for there to be morals, but I would argue that morals have always been there in societies, religion just assimilated them and called them their own. For instance, are we to believe there were no morals before Moses walked the jews through the desert, and only upon arriving figured out that rape, murder, theft, and adultery were immoral. No, I'd bet that they knew it was detrimental to a tribes life even before they were told to take a knee and let their religious leaders molest their children.
"Good" depends on where you live. In the midle east, it is "good" to beat women with sticks for showing an inch of skin (for religious purposes), but that is unthinkable in the US. The vatican believes it is "good" to tell people that condoms are what gives you AIDS, but any health care worker could tell you otherwise.
"Good" is what a society belives is in the best interest for it's survival. In the US, religion is the opposite of that because it fosters discrimination, hate, and bigotry. Just look at the treatment of homosexuals, believers of other religions, and treatment of women.
I can't believe you brought up Stalin or Mao....they utilized the mental weakness of religion to enforce their power....they, in essence, WERE the "gods" of their country....same principle...but they did it for power, not IN THE NAME of an atheistic belief. Many crimes in society have been done IN THE NAME of (insert religion). Those towers would still be standing if it weren't for the irrationality of religion.
I can appreciate that believing you were made from sand, or a clot of blood, etc. depending on your religion and take solice in the mental crutch that you are not strong enough to accept responsibility for your own actions, or generate a plan of action for your own needs. What I disagree with is that religion is being used as a political lever to rewrite history, conquer foreign lands, and dictate the genocide of entire societies. If it weren't for rational thinking people, the world would still be flat and Apollo would still be pulling the sun across the sky in a chariot.
And, your wrong about scientists. It wasn't until the early 20th century that rational people believed they would not be burned or stoned to death for their secular beliefs. Proof? Look at Copernicus. He was in high power at his church and postulated that the planets revolved around the Sun based on astronomical observations, but held the information until his deathbed to avoid persecution and excommunication, and torture.
    Dawkins Akbar.
