  3. Tragicomedy par excellence.  The angels "reminded her of foreign exchange students"!? I should probably have leveraged that when studying a semester in the US.

  4. Why didn't the angels heal her?

  5. Wow, Fox is really pushing the envelope on their religious right-wing craziness.

  6. First off, how is this fucking news?

Second of all if they were to substitute the word angel with gremlins, fairies or any other mythical creature, she would be labeled as either delusional, psychotic or experiencing a lack of oxygen to her brain...but because it was and ANGEL...it's news.

    Fucking retards.

  8. Its not news. It is business, and politics.. Brainwashing brings money and political power. And on the other side, those weak deluded suckers get what they want and need, a confirmation for their wishful thinking fairy tales.

FOX gets more viewers, and more deducated ones on top of that. This is than also translated into political power, since all of them are republicans. The whole religious business profits, because millions of this poor loosers are drained for their money.

The writter and the publisher of the book get their millions of Je$u$ money, and a small share also goes to this lady that is using the death of her daughter to profit.

So if you think about it... Everybody profits. Everyone gets something. It is a win/win situation for all these crazy Jesus freaks.

Retarded? Well, the society, human values, progress, nature and humanity itself, those things get retarded by these people, but they are not aware of this and do not care. They are weak and selfish.. One needs to be, in order to believe this strongly..

  9. You know, I agree with the reality but so what if some fiction helps the terminal ill deal with death!

Until we are facing terminal illness ourselves, then why judge!

We all need comfort, especially the terminaly ill! I am disappointed that some author is making money from the fiction (without apply basic skepticism), but not dissapointed that it helps those that need support in their terminal reality.

Until you have watched someone you love die, you will not understand the need for comforrt!

  10. Agreed people should be allowed to see comfort if it helps them.

But this is no more real than the claims of alien visitations.

  11. The fiction of angels believed by the little girl is not the point. That this Doctor is using her to sell a book and fox news is helping him is. My condolences to the mother.

  12. That woman was her mother? Why would this woman, whoever she is, not be concerned for the girls mental health when she started seeing these apparitions? Did these people contribute to the girls death by destabilizing her grasp on reality? Those people should be disgraced and probably incarcerated for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Who are these criminals to speak for this child? Why are these people not being prosecuted for child abuse? This is disgusting. Where is Justice?

  13. But she still died?

What is the point of it?  The "angels" didn't even help her...what a couple of dickheads.

  14. Well, that's Fox for you. Religiously motivated to provide 'news' about... angels. Yes, they're really putting people on television who say they believe in... angels. Nevermind whether they actually believe in them or not, or if they were simply paid to say so; my assumption is that they do and want publicity to sell their story. I mean, why NOT make a little money on the side? Doesn't religion and capitalism go hand-in-hand? This is atrocious to say the least. It's one thing for the deluded religious to spout their nonsense in private, but to allow this piece on a news program is beyond ridiculous. THIS is why those with any semblance of intelligence need to stand-up; belief will get us NOWHERE. Does belief that we can float actually allow us to float? Does belief that we can move things with our mind actually give us the power of telekinesis? Of course it doesn't. We must surely look like a joke, internationally.

  15. It's sad that people are willing to believe such hogwash, the "angel delusion". The latest Gallup poll results on RD.net are mildly encouraging. But for so many Americans to be so deluded would be surprising except that it apparently all started during the cold war.  So, it must have been the Russians. Look how easily Litvinenko was poisoned. They obviously slipped a Gid delusion potion in the American water supply. Now we know who actually won the cold war. The Russian's are still laughing.

  16. Millions of children believe in Santa Claus. Does that make it true?

  17. To be honest, if this helps someone deal with the end of their life, there's no real harm. But it shouldn't be used to make money. These people are either complete idiots, or very clever money-makers.
