Simplistic and laughable answers. No intelligent viewer could be satisfied with that. In fact I'd go further than that. The reverse is almost true. Any viewer with a brain would see the flawed logic and lose faith rapidly. Thanks father Ted, you're the #1 atheist recruitment aid.

5. Since when did it become the job of Fox news to spread the gospel?

6. On the second robot question I thought the robot said why does Heaven have gays (the robot actually says gates). I thought my head would explode. WTF, did I miss something and now it's okay to be gay according to the Ponce and all the other religious grand pubas. Nope, just some dumbas guestion set up on a tee for the pretty boy in a collar to hit another ball out to the believers. Are American people really this stupid. America, you are disappointing the world. For the greatest technologically and arguably scientific based country in the World to have a large proportion of your population to believe this shit in the 21st century is a crime against humanity. You guys are just as big a problem as all the other religious wackos preventing the future world global community with you we vs. they religious belief systems. I can't listen to any more of this pap for dumbasses. I think I need to lie down.

7. I'm glad you asked that question, I'm very impressed with your question and am glad you asked your facinating question intro which you'd have put much thought. In fact, the quality of your question is astounding and interesting. You've come up with a difficult question o get us thinking. Err..what was the question again???

8. I should have known I could have better spent my time. the beauty of his argument is that there isn't anything to even try to disagree with. he says nothing throughout the whole interview. it's like his lips shouldn't even be moving.

9. Regardless of the fact that he offers absurdly meaningless answers, it says a lot about the fact that Fox (& I mean all of Fox TV) aren't in any way embarrassed by any of this!
It really is TV news for the type of audience that's incapable of thinking for itself. They depend on this slimy, simpering little virgin along with the other Fox News nut jobs to form their opinions for them.
As for the title: "Father Jonathan Knows Best", it should be "Father Jonathan Knows Nothing About Anything!"

Is it just me, or does anyone else here want to slap that smirk off his face right smartly?

12. Is Fox mocking this guy! The questions were excellent, but the answers just 'fluff'!

The produces must know this guy is not answereing the questions, but Kudos to them for sticking some hard ones at him, and not just going easy!

13. Yes, the Red Eye (this show) guys do this to him on a regular basis. They have submitted questions they animate into the "robots", and watch him struggle to find ways of not answering them. The amazing thing is that he still goes on that show, maybe he thinks he's doing a good job?

14. So hell only exists because unbelievers wish to be apart from god? That's an interesting one! Why is all the torture in hell necessary? It seems that believers get mightily pissed off when we declare that we don't want to be part of their club and feel a deep psychological need to punish us for not agreeing with their delusions.

17. Brilliant - well done. Hey all you gays out there - join us! God says you can't shag, so become a priest. Little children will come unto you and you too can come unto them. Come on, everybody looks good in black.

18. xmaseveeve Perhaps I'm reading your post wrong, but gay priests do not shag children, paeophile priests shag (or whatever) children. Your assumption that a gay man would want to become a priest in order to shag children is ludicrous.

20. See, that's one of the problems with the fundies, they can't agree on anything.
SOME don't believe in the torturing bit (I believe the torturing is mostly a catholics pastime). There is a large group who believe hell is being without god. That's all the torture they need.
it goes something like this: god is love, hell is being without god, thus hell is eternity without love. And I think we can all agree that sucks.
But it states nothing about sex, and sex is so much more then just the by-product of love. So i'm guessing at least we don't need to be bored for all this eternity.. hmm.. since god is said to be "light" too, hell might just be the ultimate darkroom :-D

22. This father thing in there, in the Faux studio...?
He is an extraordinary question answerer!
I can see the purple or scarlet toga waiting for him, in the near future. Being able to answer every question while not answering any of them, is the highest sought for virtue in the bishop or, in cardinal's resume.
What a clever yet morally corrupted fox ( pun intended) :)

23. Like Jon Stewart says many times of The Daily Show interviews: even when people come off horribly, they are so proud to be interviewed and to be on television...

24. In a strange way it's satisfying to see that they make the same entertainment and mockery out of serious questions as they do with serious news.

25. That's one of my surefire ways to judge a person's intelligence and sincerity: if she laughs big, she passes; if he smirks, he's gone right there.
