  3. That Berlinksi fellow is annoying muddled in his thinking.

His final remark was that the atheists don't have an answer ot the quesiton of what "forces, not just persuades" us to behave morally.

I can't wrap my head around this statement. Does he think we actually are forced to behave morally? It seems obvious we are not forced to be "good." Otherwise there would be no action ever committed that is "wrongful".

All this time I wanted to ask him wtf he thinks atheism is. He doesn't seems to believe in anything more than a "higher power" if even that.

    Poor guy is so confused...

  5. That was so funny when that lady bursted out laughing at the beginning, and <span> Berlinksi gave her a facial expression like he was thinking "I WILL ATTACK YOU FOR INTERRUPTING ME" *lol*

Gotta love that Hitch. Not even a speed bump in his logic

You've got to love that Hitch. Not even a speed bump occurred in his logic. By the way I was pleased to see that he looks quite well considering  his illness.

  9. "If I could change just one thing, it would be to disasocciate the idea of faith from virtue"

And with that, Hitchens summed up the very reason I am evangelical about my atheism.

  10. Yeah that's right.  Tell somebody undergoing chemotherapy that it's their atheism that's poisoning them.

  11. Hitch has lost nothing when his health dipped. He's still got that amazing sense of clarity, something that Berlinski can't dilute with his sloppy poetry.

  15. I just loved Berlinski's double standards. For his first consideration he admits that religions have committed atrocities throughout the ages and seems to be fine with that. Then he turns around and says atheism is worse because they did the same thing. Not that his examples actually proved his position. Hitch easily swept them aside with his reasoning and the facts. His second consideration was that atheism is dogmatic. WTF? Aside from the fact that he gave no evidence for this position he came to conclusions about its effect on science that are just insane. Obviously this man has no idea where the word 'dogma' comes from. His third consideration about atheism's relation with morals was again deftly swept away by Hitch, but more than that he completely failed to demontrait religion's superiority in that area.

  16. He means the dude's making huge 'strawman' arguments. Which means you put false words in the other person's mouth and then you say how they're wrong. It's like knocking over a 'straw man'. Cheap, easy, deceptive lies, and totally full of crap.
