Texans for Truthful Textbooks


May 16, 2010 on KVUE:
The State Board of Education will vote on new curriculum for History and Social Studies textbooks. The issue has lit a firestorm of outrage across Texas. KVUE's Quita Culpepper has more on how one group rallied at the state capitol to voice its displeasure.

  1. Much as I agree with their stance, the protestor banding explicitly under the Atheist banner may back-fire. They could simply incite the board to even greater levels of partisan retardation, under the guise of having their rights imfringed upon by 'God-denying atheists'.

  4. They are banding under Texans for Truthful Textbooks, and are backed by the secular groups.  It seems like the secular groups in Texas are paying the most attention to this issue, and they are actually getting their voices heard,
