Sometimes, the stupidity is so over the top, the generalizations so idiotic, the illogic so transparent, the only reaction can be incredulity. I thought I was watching a cartoon.
I'm sure that if europeans referred to America as "Christian losers" that FOX News would bitch and complain about how Christians are being discriminated against by those evil european atheists. They can call people names and don't think there's anything wrong with it, but will moan the minute someone returns the treatment. It's all a double standard.

Well this was bizarre.. Twilight Zone -bizarre. The preacherman talks about caring for human beings, but isn't that essentially the point of a welfare state? The healthcare argument here seems to be "if you don't have free healthcare you're free from it, ergo you have more freedom!!". On worshipping earth instead of god I'd like to point out that one is rather essential to human survival, while the other isn't.

pagan means 'not christian'. and this is jaw droppingly retarded. religious people are retarded. this is a discussion between mad people that should be in special care, seriously. we need to have these people locked up.
I feel dumber for watching this. The main concept is that due to its lack of Christianity, Europe is suffering economically. Then as the most religious industrialized country in the world, shouldn't we be thriving? Please no more Fox news. It's sensationalism for lunatics.
Feel the same, the stupidity was so strong with these ones it hurt to watch. It really saddens me to see such incredibly stupid people in positions like this.
Which are the two most religious places on earth...I'm under the impression that it is the middle-east and Africa..and shouldn't then both be the most prosperous?
I had to stop after I heard Father Morris speak like he's talking to children: "I respect you for who you are. You are very special. You have value. I'm going to build you up. We're gonna build up society; because human beings are that worthy. And yes I think society financially increases when we care about human beings."
So, what about the children who've been abused by the clergy? I guess they were really special, eh Father Morris?
I'm stunned. How can expensive TVtime be wasted on such a stupid topic? To talk abput the possibility of eating 50 meatballs in less then a minute would be more relevant. As Chris Carter say -I can't even dignify this entire segment with a response. Well, what more is there to say?
On the healthcareissue I say -I'm happy to live in Sweden where for example a broken foot or cancertreatment would cost you about 0 €. Just to clarify to the priest, that would be the same amount in dollars.
That tragic part of this is, that the very people who tune into FOX are likely the same people who would benefit the most if they had lived in one of the atheist nordic countries. It always amazes me how americans allow themselves to be paralized by "hope". It´s like a crutch. By all means be optimistic, positive and have dreams. But you also need to look at things realistically and make rational decisions otherwise you´ll end up with just that, hope. It´s a seductive way of passifing the masses.
This is propaganda and instead of rolling our eyes, we really should start taking this seriously. Murdoch is all about the money and I suppose we need to go after the advertisers.
as a european and a pagan (well, actually an atheist, but i''m going easy on the intellechtual capacities of fox news hosts): we europeans have lower jobless rates and higher domestic demand rates than the us, no housing crisis (ans that menas no middle class working people living in tent cities) and above all no bitterly divisive debates over health reform - that's because progressives and conservatives alike are in agreement theat investments in social peace are valuable in themselves. my family and i can carry on with our lives without the crippling fear of losing health insurance in the course of serious illnesses or because of a private company deciding to jack up insurance rates beyond affordability (and my sister is a cancer survivor, i know what i'm talking about). if that' pagan - fine. because we silly pagans do evidently better than christian americans.
Rarely can I not make it through a whole clip but my blood was boiling after a minute and a half of this non-sense. I can't believe I live in a society that contributes millions of dollars to this outrageous propaganda machine. It makes me want to research the literacy and movies that were circulated pre-world war II in German so I can compare it with Fox.
The economy is largely faith-based.
ReplyDeleteIs it me or was that just weird =-O
ReplyDeleteIronically pagans were once know for their shortsightedness and incivility
ReplyDeleteSometimes, the stupidity is so over the top, the generalizations so idiotic, the illogic so transparent, the only reaction can be incredulity. I thought I was watching a cartoon.
ReplyDeleteI hope if you get sick your 'god' helps you out. While you do that I'm going to rely on the evil government to make me better. Idiots.
ReplyDelete...morons.
ReplyDeleteI had to sit on my hands because I would have face palmed so hard I think i'd fracture my skull

ReplyDeleteomfg i must be dreaming ..... cant believe what a crap is on tv in us...
ReplyDeleteIronically, this comes from a network completely devoted to the worship of money. Unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteNobody on there understands what the word 'Pagan' means.
ReplyDeleteThey compare it to secularism *bzzt*
They compare it to 'worship of false gods' *bzzt* (that one's kind of funny)
oh man, there's just so much stupid on there, I'm gonna go do some bench presses.
Every time I see the FOX logo and that priest's collar, I just skip watching. Judging by the comments, it's always been the right move.
ReplyDeleteIs this for real? Was it verified that this clip had been shot in 21st century???
ReplyDeletei stopped the vid, i cant afforde a new monitor.
ReplyDeleteWhich are the two most religious places on earth...I'm under the impression that it is the middle-east and Africa..and shouldn't then both be the most prosperous?
ReplyDeleteThat black guy was really stupid. Luckely in holland we have normal people on tv. :)
ReplyDeleteProfit is divine.

ReplyDeleteRemind me, in which country did the economic crisis start?

Pagan losers? Oooh.. you mean those idiots over in the vatican! Yeah, it's defenitely THEIR fault!!
ReplyDeleteDid Fox got merged with the Onion Network?
