Retailers targeted for not wishing you a Merry Christmas

by Phillis from Derren Brown Blog:
For 3 years a group called the Focus on the Family Action has been targeting retailers who don’t use the word “Christmas” in their retailing messages. This year they have decided to create an interactive website to make sure the shops are doing as they’re told.

The motive behind this is quite clear – “For millennia, CHRIST has been the reason for the season” and the group feel as though the secularization of the holiday period is destroying the true meaning of what Christmas is.

On the site they state “not only is Christmas a memorable family time – it’s the time when people worldwide celebrate the centerpiece of their faith…Jesus Christ. The Savior of mankind was born in a manger. Do you know the story? Have you experienced this truth?”

There’s no mention of The Atheists Guide to Xmas on there however they do offer their own book – 101 Ways to Have a Christian Christmas.
