  1. As far as P&T setting records for lies, well, first, that is hyperbole. Second, when one side states an opinion backed up by some books and then the other side says, "your'e lying, look I have some books too!", that is just two opposing viewpoints. Any two people can choose any two subjects and argue using this technique.

  2. It's surprising that the dvds for Season 7 don't include this episode, thats why I came here. This episode also isn't listed as an episode at showtime.com in season 7 either. I'm guessing because of all the controversy they removed it from the dvds and online. Frankly it didn't seem very harsh to me, but I'm also not catholic or very easy to offend.

As for all the evidence and supposed lies told, there's a BBC article that says most of the same things as P&T.

  3. Yeah, this is a bit late, but [YAWN],

A stream of conflationary & admittedly witty strawmen, all based on ignorance of the meaning of the words they use to accuse the Catholic Church and of Catholic belief.

One of the most amusing complaints was about the prosecution of the italian comedienne, Sabina Guzzanti.

For one, the claim of "retribution by the Catholic Church" is laughable. Ms. Guzzanti broke a secular ITALIAN LAW that was being prosecuted by the ITALIAN GOVERNMENT. I'm sure the Dan Brown disciples out there smell a "Jesuit conspiracy", but I'm not particularly swayed by arguments based on fictional stories written by factually challenged ignoramuses.

Second, Ms. Guzzanti, a claimed member of "Soka Gakkai" (an offshoot Buddhist religion) also violated the purposes & principles of HER OWN RELIGION, specifically:

#3 - SGI shall respect and protect the freedom of religion and religious expression.

#7 - SGI shall, based on the Buddhist spirit of tolerance, respect other religions, engage in dialogue and work together with them toward the resolution of fundamental issues concerning humanity.

(In her violations of these two principles, Ms. Guzzanti obviously did not show any respect to the Catholic Church, nor it's freedom of belief & expression, nor did she engage in any kind of dialogue or cooperation to try to resolve any fundamental issues.)

#10 - SGI shall contribute to the promotion of education, in pursuit of truth as well as the development of scholarship, to enable all people to cultivate their individual character and enjoy fulfilling and happy lives.

(Penn & Teller's selection of Ms. Guzzanti is appropriate, for their ignorance of the Catholic Church or of the objective basis for it's views matches hers.)

  4. Thегe  are two main phases and they include
the down phase anɗ the up pɦase. The lift ǥenerated by an aiгcraft's wiոg is a function of the wіng's сoeffіcient of lift--ϹL--and the speed at which the winց is flying.
An individual bodybuilԀiոg plan and diet goals dictate the ѕpecific kind of program that is best suited to each particular lifter.
